Their ministry reflects Psalm 84:10: “I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God…”
Music Ministry

The Music Ministry leads the congregation in lifting praises to God through song, worship, and musical excellence. Through choirs, musicians, and praise teams, this ministry prepares hearts to encounter God’s presence and proclaims the gospel in song. They serve as spiritual leaders who minister through music, echoing Psalm 150: “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!”

The Hospitality Ministry ensures that fellowship is marked by warmth, care, and Christian love. They coordinate meals, receptions, and special gatherings, serving with excellence and grace. This ministry seeks to make every event an opportunity for encouragement, relationship building, and the extension of Christ’s love around the table.
Young People’s Department (YPD)

The YPD is the youth arm of the Women’s Missionary Society, providing training in leadership, service, and discipleship for children and young adults. Members grow in their knowledge of God, their commitment to missions, and their role as young leaders in the church and community. This ministry empowers young people to be witnesses for Christ in school, community, and beyond.

The Youth Ministry provides a safe, Christ-centered space where children and teens can explore their faith, engage in meaningful fellowship, and develop as leaders in the church and community. By addressing spiritual, social, and academic challenges, the Children and Youth Ministry prepares young people to navigate life with faith and resilience, living out Psalm 119:9 — “How can young people keep their way pure? By guarding it according to your word.”

Through Church School, Bible Study, workshops, and training, they nurture the faith of children, youth, and adults alike. Mattie Henry Women’s Missionary Society (WMS)

The WMS is a vital part of the AME tradition, committed to prayer, service, and missions both locally and globally. Members dedicate themselves to spreading the gospel, supporting families in need, engaging in social justice, and providing Christian witness through acts of compassion. They continue the legacy of women who, like Mattie Henry, worked tirelessly for missions in the spirit of Acts 1:8.
Men’s Ministry

Their mission is to be the hands and feet of Christ in Charles County and beyond.
