Our Pastor
Reverend Aaron Tinch, a native of Washington, D.C., grew up in the surrounding area. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master’s of Divinity from Payne Theological Seminary.
In April 2018, during the 68th Washington Annual Conference, Rev. Tinch was ordained as an Itinerant Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. He later received his ordination as an Itinerant Elder on October 15, 2021.
At the 74th Washington Annual Conference, Rev. Tinch was appointed to lead New Hope AME Church. Prior to this, he served as pastor of Rivers of Life AME Church, Ebenezer AME Church in Charlotte Hall, and Love AME Church.
With over 20 years of experience in social services, Rev. Tinch has dedicated much of his career to supporting youth and families. He is married to Tiffany Verne Arnold, and together they are the proud parents of two daughters, Ziza Brooke Tinch and Yana Allure Tinch.
In his free time, Rev. Tinch enjoys reading and staying informed on social issues affecting the African American community. His ministry is deeply focused on educating and empowering the African American church and broader community to improve their economic and social well-being.
