Grace and peace to you.
Continue to believe. You have the evidence. You know what God has done for you. We serve a doing God—a God who is not only active in the past but is still moving, still making ways, still opening doors, and still working in our lives right now. Let your testimony strengthen your faith and remind you that what God has done before, God is more than able to do again.
The 76th Session of the Washington Annual Conference will open on Wednesday, April 15th at 10:00 AM. In-person worship will take place at Ebenezer AME Church, and the service along with conference sessions will be streamed via the Second Episcopal District social media platforms. Please be in prayer for Bishop Harry Seawright and Episcopal Supervisor Sherita Seawright as they lead during this significant gathering.
Our intended focus for Wednesday Night Bible Study is Psalm 119:105–112 (NRSVUE) under the theme “Walking in the Light of God’s Word.”However, please note that Bible Study will not occur this week due to the Annual Conference. Instead, I encourage you to tune into the worship service and participate in the life of the connectional church.
The sermon theme for the week is “Listen, Look, Lift” from Isaiah 51:1–6 (NRSVUE). We will reflect on the call to listen for God’s voice, look toward God’s faithfulness, and lift our eyes with hope and expectation.
Take the opportunity to invite others to join us for worship on Sunday. Sunday Church School is available in person and virtually each Sunday at 8:45 AM.
Let us remain steadfast, encouraged, and faithful as we continue to keep the charge of the Lord.
With faith and expectation,
Reverend Aaron Tinch
Pastor
