Grace and peace to you.
As we move through this week, I encourage you to Listen, Look, and Lift. Go forward listening for God’s voice, looking for God’s hand, and lifting your eyes to God’s promise. When we posture ourselves in this way, we become more attentive to God’s presence and more aligned with God’s purpose for our lives.
Our Wednesday Night Bible Study will focus on 2 Chronicles 7:12–16 (NRSVUE) under the theme “Humility, Prayer, and God’s Healing.” This passage calls us to humility, to earnest prayer, and to a turning of our hearts back to God. It is in this posture that God promises to hear, forgive, and heal not only individuals, but communities and nations.
The sermon theme for the week is “Hold Them Accountable” from Ezekiel 34:7–15 (NRSVUE). We will reflect on God’s expectation for faithful leadership and care, and how accountability is necessary for the well-being of God’s people.
This Sunday is always one of my favorite Sundays, as we take time to celebrate the efforts and achievements of our students. Let us come ready to encourage, uplift, and affirm them as they continue to grow and excel.
Take the opportunity to invite others to worship with us on Sunday or to attend Bible Study on Wednesday. Sunday Church School is available in person and virtually each Sunday at 8:45 AM.
Let us remain attentive, faithful, and encouraged as we continue to keep the charge of the Lord.
With joy and expectation,
Reverend Aaron Tinch
Pastor
