We were blessed and encouraged by the preached Word from Brother Dontae Foote. As we continue to reflect on the message, remember that we should be building what God has assigned us to build. God has placed gifts within us, opportunities before us, and assignments upon our lives. The question is whether we will faithfully build what God has entrusted to our hands. I encourage you to take time this week to read the book of Haggai and reflect on God’s call to rebuild, reorder our priorities, and faithfully complete the work.

Our Wednesday Night Bible Study will focus on Matthew 25:14–30 (NRSVUE) under the theme “Faithful Stewardship of What God Gives” – Using God’s Gifts for God’s Glory. This familiar parable reminds us that God has entrusted something valuable to each of us. Our gifts may differ, but our responsibility remains the same: faithfully use what God has given us. Let us examine how we are stewarding our time, talents, resources, influence, and opportunities for the glory of God.

The sermon theme for the week is “Watch Out, and Beware” from Matthew 16:5–12 (NRSVUE). Jesus warns His disciples to be mindful of the “yeast” of the Pharisees and Sadducees. We will consider the influences that can quietly enter our lives, shape our thinking, and affect our faith. Everything that sounds good is not God. Everything that appears religious is not righteous. Spiritual maturity requires discernment.

Church, we get better together. We get better together. There is something powerful about a community committed to growing, learning, serving, and building alongside one another. None of us possesses every gift, but together we have what is necessary to accomplish the assignment God has given New Hope.

Let us all invite at least one person to join us for Bible Study, Church School, or Worship Service. If any of these offerings from the church have benefited you, strengthened your faith, or encouraged you along your journey, why not share that experience with someone else?

Keep building. Keep serving. Keep discerning. And remember, we get better together.

Let’s keep the charge of the Lord!

With faith and expectation,
