Dear New Hope AME Church Family,
Be reminded that where God is present, life changes. Here is your God, God is here. When we become aware of God’s nearness, hearts are renewed, hope is restored, and our lives are transformed. Let us remain attentive to the movement of God in our midst.
I want to share important connectional news with you. The 133rd elected and consecrated Bishop, Bishop Harry Seawright, has been appointed as the Bishop of the Second Episcopal District. Please keep Bishop Seawright lifted in prayer as he begins this sacred assignment. We look forward with expectation to what God will bring forth in the Second District under his leadership.
This Wednesday for Bible Study, we will focus on Luke 2:8–20 (NRSVUE) as we explore Advent III: Good News for All People. We will reflect on the announcement of Jesus’ birth and the joy-filled proclamation that the Savior has come not for a few, but for all. Join us as we continue preparing our hearts during this Advent season.
This Sunday, we will gather for our Christmas Cantata, themed “The Humble Beginning.” Let us come together as a church family to support both our Music Ministry and Youth Ministry as they lead us in worship through song and story. Following the cantata, we will gather in the Fellowship Hall for lunch and fellowship. This will be a wonderful time to celebrate community and the joy of Christ together.
Please take the opportunity to invite others to worship with us on Sunday, to participate in Church School, and to join Bible Study on Wednesday night. Church School will now be offered both in person and virtually, making it more accessible for all. I am looking forward to meeting the people you invite as we continue to grow together in faith and fellowship.
Family, let us continue moving forward with joy, hope, and expectation.
Let’s Keep the Charge of the Lord!!!
With love and anticipation
Reverend Aaron Tinch
Pastor
