Dear New Hope AME Church Family,
Church, I pray you have taken the opportunity to meditate on Psalm 20 following the powerful and timely sermon from Reverend Renee Eubanks. We are reminded that the victory is already ours before the battle is even fought. God is greater in battle than horses and chariots, and our trust rests firmly in the name and power of the Lord our God.
Our Wednesday Night Bible Study will focus on Nehemiah 1 (NRSVUE), as we reflect on Nehemiah’s prayer for his people. I am truly looking forward to spending the final Wednesday of 2025 with you as we gather to study God’s Word and discern what faithful prayer, repentance, and action look like for God’s people today.
The sermon theme for this week is “My People Shall Be Satisfied” from Jeremiah 31:7–14 (NRSVUE). Together, we will reflect on God’s promise of restoration and the joy of return from exile, how God gathers, restores, and satisfies God’s people with goodness.
Please continue to join Bishop Harry Seawright daily at 6:00 PM for corporate prayer, as he has convened us during this important season in the life of the Second Episcopal District. Prayer will guide us. Prayer will steady us. Prayer will comfort us.
We also encourage our students who are preparing for college or who are already enrolled to attend the college financial assistance workshop on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Additionally, our YPD Vision Board activity will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. These opportunities are designed to equip, empower, and inspire our young people as they prepare for what lies ahead.
Take this time to invite family, friends, and neighbors to worship with us on Sunday or to join us for Bible Study on Wednesday. Sunday Church School is available both in person and virtually at 8:45 AM each Sunday.
Let us remain steadfast, faithful, and encouraged as we continue to keep the charge of the Lord.
With love and anticipation,
Reverend Aaron Tinch
Pastor
