Dear New Hope AME Church Family,
It is my continued prayer that God’s presence is with you in all that you do. I am mindful of the weather conditions and the circumstances that may impact participation in in-person worship services. Please continue to be safe and do your very best to stay warm. Your health and well-being remain a priority.
Our Wednesday Night Bible Study will focus on Nehemiah 6 (NRSVUE) under the theme “Unfinished Business: Discernment, Courage, and Completing God’s Work.” As we journey through this chapter, we will reflect on the importance of spiritual discernment, steadfast courage, and faithfulness in bringing God’s work to completion—despite distractions, opposition, or fatigue.
The sermon theme for the week is “It’s Best to Keep Awake” from Matthew 25:1–13 (NRSVUE). Together, we will ponder what it means to be a prepared people as we await the return of Christ—living with intentional faith, spiritual readiness, and wise stewardship.
Be prayerful and be sure to attach action to your prayers. Let us do justice to the memory of our ancestors by embodying the faith, perseverance, and stewardship that have galvanized us forward as a people and sustained us through every season.
Take the opportunity to invite others to worship with us on Sunday or to attend Bible Study on Wednesday. Sunday Church School is available in person and virtually each Sunday at 8:45 AM.
May we remain watchful, faithful, and encouraged as we continue to keep the charge of the Lord.
With care and prayer,
Reverend Aaron Tinch
Pastor
