As we continue to sit with the preached Word from Reverend Christopher Bonner, I encourage you to read Philemon once again and wrestle with the question of how our value is seen by God. In a world that often measures worth by status, wealth, influence, or accomplishment, the gospel reminds us that our value is found in Christ. The letter to Philemon challenges us to see one another not through the lens of society, but through the transforming love of Jesus Christ. May we learn to value ourselves and others as God does with dignity, grace, and unconditional love.

Our Wednesday Night Bible Study will focus on Psalm 37:1–11 (NRSVUE) under the theme “Trusting God When the Wicked Prosper.” The psalmist reminds us not to be consumed by the apparent success of those who do evil but to trust in the Lord, delight ourselves in Him, and patiently wait for His justice. God remains faithful, and those who place their hope in Him will never be disappointed.

The sermon theme for the week is “I Am Standing Here” from Genesis 24:42–44 (NRSVUE). As we reflect on Abraham’s servant standing at the well awaiting God’s guidance, we will consider what it means to faithfully position ourselves where God can direct our steps and reveal His purpose. Sometimes the greatest act of faith is simply standing where God has called us until the next instruction comes.

Please be on the lookout this week for two important emails. One will contain information regarding the upcoming Second Episcopal District Planning Meeting and Summer Summit, and the other will provide details about the Our Life Line Screening. I encourage you to review both announcements carefully and participate where you are able.

As a church family, let us continue to extend Christ’s invitation to others. Let’s all invite at least one person to join us for Bible Study, Church School, or Worship Service. If any of these ministries have been a blessing in your life, why not share that blessing with someone else? Your invitation could be the very encouragement someone needs to reconnect with God and God’s people.

Let us continue to trust the Lord, recognize our worth in Christ, and faithfully keep the charge of the Lord.

With grace and peace,
