Dear New Hope AME Church Family,
There is a balm. Yes, there is a balm! Keep applying Jesus to every circumstance of your life. When you’re weary, apply Him. When you’re uncertain, apply Him. When you’re rejoicing, apply Him. He is our constant source of healing, strength, and hope.
This Wednesday for Bible Study, we will focus on Jeremiah 29:1-14 (NRSVUE) as we reflect on Hope in Exile. This beloved passage reminds us that even when we are far from where we want to be, God is still with us, working out His plans to give us a future and a hope.
Our sermon theme for this Sunday is “The Treasure of a Good Foundation” from 1 Timothy 6:17-21 (NRSVUE). Together, we will explore the necessity of a firm foundation and the priceless treasure it is to be rooted in Christ. In a world of shifting values and temporary pleasures, a strong foundation in God is the treasure that sustains us.
As we prepare for Church School at 8:45 AM and worship on Sunday, take the opportunity to invite someone to join you. A simple invitation could be the door someone needs to step into the presence of God.
This Sunday is also Scouts Sunday! The Scouts of our church will be leading us in worship. Let us come with joy and encouragement as we support their leadership and celebrate their service to God and the community.
Family, let us continue to press forward in faith and unity. Let’s keep the charge of the Lord!!!
With love and blessings,
Reverend Aaron Tinch
Pastor
