Grace and peace to you.
Start on your way. Your faith should propel you to move on God’s Word. Too often we wait for every detail to be revealed before taking the first step, but faith calls us to move while trusting God with the outcome. God is calling us to trust, obey, and move forward. Go!
Our Wednesday Night Bible Study will focus on Matthew 5:13–16 (NRSVUE) under the theme “Salt and Light in the World” – Living as Visible Witnesses of God’s Kingdom. As followers of Christ, we are called to influence the world around us for good and to shine brightly so that others may see God’s work through us and glorify our Father in heaven.
The sermon for the week will come from Judges 11:29–40 (NRSVUE). I have not yet settled on whether the title will be “Victory That Feels Like Defeat” or “Don’t Sacrifice Your Children.” As Father’s Day approaches next week, we will continue exploring the beliefs, decisions, and responsibilities of fathers, while examining the burdens children often carry because of the choices made by parents. This challenging text invites us to consider the consequences of our words, vows, and actions across generations.
This week, I also want to continue lifting up both our Lay Ministry and Vacation Bible School.
The Lay Ministry Interest Meeting will take place on June 14, 2026, immediately following worship service in the chapel area. If you are looking for an opportunity to grow in leadership, discipleship, and service, I encourage you to attend.
Please also make plans for Vacation Bible School, which will be held June 24–26, 2026. Classes will be available for all ages. Register, participate, and invite others to join us for this exciting time of learning, fellowship, and spiritual growth.
As a congregation, let us commit to inviting at least one person to join us for Bible Study, Church School, or Worship Service. A simple invitation may be the very thing God uses to transform a life.
Let us continue moving in faith, serving with purpose, and trusting God’s direction as we keep the charge of the Lord.
With faith and expectation,
Reverend Aaron Tinch
Pastor
